We pray that you may always have the opportunity to partake in Word & Sacrament ministry during this pandemic, whether it be live or online. To that end, University Lutheran Church has a live Divine Service every Sunday at 10:30 am with no restrictions on the number of people. We practice the current recommendations of providing hand sanitizer and disposable masks as you enter the church, and ask that everyone makes use of both for the safety of our brothers and sisters in Christ. The order of service, including hymns, is printed out. Individuals or families are asked to sit at least six feet apart. The pastor wears a mask during distribution, communing three people at a time six feet apart in the chancel. The offering is not received from the pews, but at the rear of the church as people exit.
For those who do not wish to attend a live service, You may view each Divine Service at indianalutheran.churchonline.org at 2:00, 3:15, 5:00, and 7:00 pm every Sunday. The order of service is available by clicking on the bottom tab.
We make everyone's safety a priority as we navigate through the pandemic, praying that the Lord would allow the Gospel to have free course throughout our country and the world. As we minister by preaching God's Word and administering His Sacrament, we also seek to provide comfort in the fellowship of the congregation through safe gathering practices. We offer a time for refreshments after the service, and an outdoor cookout and Bible study each Thursday with physical distancing (see schedule). While we may not be able to offer a hug to one another, we can still talk and enjoy each other's company for a short time!
In the meantime, stay grounded in God's Word and pray for the needs of each other in Christ!
